Ingredients for Chicken Fillet with Orange Sauce
    Main Ingredients
  • 4 pieces chicken fillets (thawed)
  • 2 pieces carrots
  • 1 tablespoon all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup orange juice (freshly squeezed is best)
  • 1 tablespoon ginger (grated)
  • to taste black pepper
  • to taste salt
  • 1 tablespoon butter or margarine

    Preparation
  1. Make the sauce

    In a blender, blend the carrots with half of the orange juice, strain, and set aside. Heat a medium saucepan with 1 tablespoon of butter, add the flour, and let it brown. Add the strained juice and cook over low heat until it thickens. Stir in the ginger, the remaining orange juice, season with salt and black pepper, and remove from heat. Mix well and set aside.

    In a large skillet, grill the thawed chicken fillets seasoned with salt and pepper until cooked through.

  5. Plate and Serve

    Serve the sauce over the grilled chicken.
