  • 4 units eggs
  • 240 milliliters milk
  • 180 milliliters oil
  • 120 grams cornmeal
  • 120 grams fennel seeds (optional)
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder

  1. Prepare the Batter

    In a blender, combine the eggs, milk, and oil, and blend to mix everything. In a bowl, place the cornmeal, all-purpose flour, and fennel seeds, and mix these dry ingredients. Pour the liquid from the blender over the dry ingredients and mix well until combined. The mixture will be quite liquid. Add the baking powder and gently stir.

  2. Bake the Cake

    Transfer the batter to a greased and floured cake pan. Bake in a preheated oven at 350ºF (180ºC) for about 30 minutes. Allow to cool for 10 minutes before unmolding to prevent breaking.
