Ingredients for Lentil Burgers
    Main Ingredients
  • 1 cup dried lentils
  • 4 cups water
  • 1 clove garlic, chopped
  • ½ cup red onion, chopped
  • ½ cup fresh parsley, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • to taste cumin
  • ½ cup brown rice flour
  • ½ cup oat bran

  1. Prepare the Lentils

    Cook the lentils. Place the lentils and 4 cups of water in a pressure cooker and cook over medium heat until it reaches pressure. Then, lower the heat and cook for 15 more minutes. Drain and place in a bowl.

  3. Combine Ingredients

    Add the garlic, onion, parsley, olive oil, salt, season with cumin to taste, and mix. Gradually add the oat bran and brown rice flour until it reaches a moldable consistency.

  4. Shaping the Burgers
  5. Shape the Patties

    Divide the mixture into 5 equal parts and lightly oil your hands. Shape the patties to about 0.6 inches thick. Place the patties on a greased baking sheet or parchment paper and freeze for 1 hour.

  6. Cooking the Patties
  7. Fry or Bake

    Carefully remove, fry in a non-stick skillet with a little oil, and turn when golden brown. Alternatively, bake for about 40 minutes at 350°F, checking until golden brown.

    Ensure the burgers are cooked thoroughly before serving.
