  • 1 unit small tomato (Chopped.)
  • 1 unit large garlic clove (Minced.)
  • 1.5 teaspoons salt
  • 1 tablespoon parsley (Chopped.)
  • ½ tablespoon oil (For sautéing.)
  • For the Dough
  • 1 unit large potato (Cooked and mashed.)
  • 2.75 cups water (For boiling.)
  • 1 cup pre-cooked corn flakes, sifted
  • 1.25 cups cornstarch
  • ½ cup manioc flour (For coating.)
  • 3 cups oil (For frying.)
  • 200 milliliters filtered water (For coating.)
  • 3 units crushed garlic cloves
  • 1 tablespoon salt (For boiling.)
Instructions
    Preparing the Filling
  1. Sauté the Filling

Sauté the ground beef in a pan with oil, onion, garlic, and tomato. Add salt and finish with parsley. Set aside the sautéed meat.

  2. Making the Dough
  3. Cook and Prepare Dough

In a pressure cooker, cook the potato for about 8 minutes. After cooking, mash the potato and set aside. In a pan, combine oil, water, and salt and bring to a boil. Once boiling, add the sifted pre-cooked corn flakes and sifted cornstarch, stirring until the dough pulls away from the bottom of the pan. Turn off the heat and mix in the mashed potato until a homogeneous dough forms.

  4. Forming the Croquettes
  5. Shape and Fry

Combine the ground beef with the dough and let it cool. Once the dough is warm, shape into croquettes. Coat the croquettes in filtered water and seasoned manioc flour, then fry in hot oil.
