    Main Ingredients
  • 1/2 cup chopped red onion (for sautéing)
  • 1 clove garlic (minced)
  • 1 tablespoon sunflower oil (for sautéing)
  • 150 grams ground meat (such as beef or turkey)
  • 1/2 medium beetroot (grated)
  • 1 egg white
  • 1/4 cup quinoa or amaranth flakes
  • 1 tablespoon chopped parsley (for garnish)

    Cooking Steps
  1. Prepare the Sauce

    Sauté the chopped onion and minced garlic in sunflower oil until translucent. Add the tomato sauce and water, and let it cook for 10 minutes.

  2. Make the Meatballs

    In a bowl, mix the ground meat, grated beetroot, egg white, quinoa or amaranth flakes, and salt. Shape into small balls.

  3. Cook Meatballs

    Place the meatballs in the sauce, cover, and simmer on low heat for 15 minutes. Serve hot sprinkled with chopped parsley.

  4. Preparing Cabbage

    Carefully heat cabbage leaves until soft enough to wrap around meatballs, then cool slightly before wrapping.

  5. Serve

    Finish by drizzling with extra tomato sauce and top with grated cheese if desired.
