Ingredients for Tuna Pie
    Crust
  • 2 cups chickpea flour or oat flour (You can choose based on your preference.)
  • 2 units eggs
  • 1 cup olive oil (A good quality olive oil enhances flavor.)
  • 2 cups whole milk or almond milk (Milk choice can be adjusted.)
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder (This helps the crust to rise.)

  • 500 grams cooked tuna or canned tuna, drained
  • 2 units tomatoes (Chopped.)
  • 1 cup sweet corn
  • 1 cup peas
  • 1 cup hearts of palm (Chopped.)
  • 1 cup olives (Sliced.)
  • to taste onion (Chopped.)
  • to taste garlic (Minced.)
Instructions
    Preparation
  1. Make the crust

    Preheat the oven to 350ºF. In a bowl, mix the eggs, olive oil, chickpea flour (or oat flour), whole milk (or almond milk), baking powder, and salt until well combined.

  2. Prepare the filling

    In a heated pan, sauté the onion and garlic, then add the tomatoes, tuna, sweet corn, hearts of palm, and olives. Let it cook for about 10 minutes.

  3. Assemble the pie

    In a baking dish, layer half of the crust mixture, followed by the filling, and cover with the remaining crust. If desired, sprinkle grated cheese on top.

  4. Bake

    Bake in the oven at medium temperature for about 20 minutes or until golden.
